And the intimate Dalia is a speakeasy lounge that is filled with the drama of L.A.’s past—and present. Mexico City’s pedestrian-only Francisco I. Madero Avenue, or Madero Street, was originally named after the historical leader of the Anti-Re-Election Movement and former President of Mexico before he was assassinated. Today, it’s a focal point in Centro Histórico which connects the sacred Zócalo, the beautiful Palacio de Bellas Artes and the spiritual Metropolitan Cathedral. It is also home to MUMEDI – a design hotel, restaurant, gallery, café, shop and event space. A damage deposit of MXN 5,000 is required on arrival. The room was comfortable, fully appointed, stylish, and quiet. The hotel location is ideal for a quick visit to the center of the city. Manny and the staff are incredibly helpful and nice. We had an interior room, which was quiet, spacious, and well thought-out with storage and outlets where you need them. Good breakfast - had a choice of Mexican (eggs or chicken enchiladas with green or red sauce), continental (bread instead of eggs), or just Eggs; + Fruit, coffee, fresh squeezed Juice). We had an upstairs room (no elevator) staff brought our bags up and down.
